The Untold Story of Hail
Hail storms cause unseen damage to roofs. Left untended, the damage can escalate into destruction. In a storm, hailstones pound into your roof, creating surface weaknesses - tears or splits - much like a thorn might scratch the surface of your skin. Over time, as rain, snow, and sun soak and then bake the surface of your roof, the abrasions stretch and blister into cracks and holes. Because the damage grows unseen, like termites chewing through a building's frame, most property owners are unaware of the escalating damage. Until the roof is severely compromised and rain begins to soak their building's interior, many owners have no idea that their roof is damaged at all.
Most insurance companies, however, know the damage a hail storm can cause. Standard insurance policies cover repair of hail damage; timely repair of the damage helps insurers avoid costly later replacement claims. Most policies, however, give you only twelve months from a storm to report your claim. We have discovered many of our customers were not only unaware of weather damage to their roofs, they did not know their insurance policies covered the repair - or that a clock was ticking away the time to report their claim. In response, we developed our Roof Inspection and Monitoring Service. This service allows us to help its clients identify, report, and repair severe weather damage and protect their properties from the destruction caused by hail storms.
Through the Inspection and Monitoring Program, We will send a professional inspection team to your property to inspect for weather damage. If your roof does not require repair, We will return to the property to reinspect at your request.
If the inspection team discovers damage, we will stand by its report and work with you and your insurance company to help you get your claim approved. We will document the roof damage, diagram, measure, and mark out the roof for your insurer's visit, and when your adjuster arrives to visit the property, We will be there to walk the adjuster through its assessment. Once your insurance company has accurately assessed the damage, we will provide the repairs your insurance company deems necessary, at the price it sets, to help you restore your roof and stop the spreading decay.
